Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce
(Oct 13, 2021) Catherine Read talks with Jennifer Rose, Executive Director of the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce (CFCC), which is based in Fairfax City, VA. The Chamber provides support through programming, events, education, professional networks, and community involvement.
The CFCC was founded in 1958 and Jennifer has been the Executive Director since 2018. The Chamber Chair, Doug Church, is a member of the Rotary Club of Fairfax as is Jennifer and that is an important connection with the Chamber and with the City of Fairfax. The annual 4th of July parade features a float from the Rotary Club and a Business Breakfast at Red, Hot & Blue hosted by the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce.
Jennifer and CFCC are involved in many community events which engage their business members and provide opportunities to participate in the City’s signature events: The Chocolate Lover’s Festival, Rock the Block, the 4th of July Parade, the Asian Festival on Main, and the Fall Festival. There is collaboration with the City’s Parks and Rec Department and the Economic Development Authority (EDA). The Chamber also works with George Mason University‘s Mason Enterprise Center, which has just announced a move from historic downtown to expanded office space in the Northfax area of Fairfax City. The Old Town Fairfax Business Association is also a strategic partner.
In addition to its business members, CFCC also support numerous non-profits, agencies and associations. Their programs and activities bring together individuals and resources from all sectors to engage with the greater Fairfax City community.
