Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion, and Purpose

Aug. 9 , 2010 – Great book – I recommend the audio version which is read by author Tony Hsieh himself and various of the employees who contributed to the book. This is right in line with Rework and Linchpins. It is a harbinger of a new way to do business that is not only more exciting, rewarding and humane but vastly more successful than many of the “old” ways of running a company. This is not theories of innovation, it’s the story of a successful journey by a group of upstarts who discovered what makes a company really thrive. Echoes of Dan Pink’s book “Drive” are here as well. I think a major shift is afoot. If companies want to win in the post-recession economy, they would be smart to move toward finding their own “core values” and reworking their internal operations to better meet the needs of their employees as well as their customers. I highly recommend this book!
